This season, inspired by the image of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, where a female character disguises herself as a male scholar, the boundaries of femininity and masculinity are skillfully intertwined, creating a fresh, gender-neutral aesthetic. This design not only incorporates academic style but also revitalizes the past trend of androgyny, highlighting support and respect for diverse cultures. In terms of fabric selection, a special denim dyeing technique is used to present an appearance that blends the earth, sea, and sky into one. To enrich the theme, an eye-catching academy badge is designed, drawing inspiration from the golden appearance of satellites and incorporating it into the embroidery, resulting in a unique visual effect. In addition to the intricate badge details, three-dimensional silver accessories are carefully chosen, resembling the switches of space equipment, directly connecting to the core theme. The design also integrates the galaxy into knitwear, or casually sprinkles sequins and rhinestones to form lion crests that resemble constellations. This autumn/winter collection presents a completely different look in silhouette, using the prototype of satellite launches to construct a futuristic cut. The streamlined flow of jet smoke transforms into CHARINYEH designer’s vision of ‘cosmic space.’"

Crimson leaves, deep coffee trunks, and caramel fallen foliage blend into a natural canvas, each hue whispering the quiet poetry of autumn.This season, classic khaki and suiting fabrics mix softness with structure, reminiscent of an autumn breeze. Intricate floral patterns and lace designs create a delicate dance, crafting an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed. Each piece is thoughtfully designed, turning every detail into a captivating visual narrative.

Through the scenarios in romantic fiction, "CHARINYEH SS24" portrays an ambiguous, innocently desired, or even intense sense of fearlessness. As we engage emotionally with the words, we shuttle between reality and fiction like the protagonists in romantic fiction, exploring our own possibilities. We indulge in the blissful realms offered by each chapter, seeking solace for our souls. This sustenance of pure emotions, however, is no longer what is used to be – now it also shows the unique allure of the virtual world. The "CRY 24SS" collection expresses the term "romantic" from the romanticism to evoke passion for everyday life in everyone's hearts. Moreover, it is in line with streetwear trends and is closer to the core of contemporary fashion. The new season breaks through from the previous emphasis on a feminine framework, skillfully balancing rigid tailoring and thick cotton with the gentle warmth of earthy-tone flower sea. It transforms into a harmonious beauty beyond gender and reaches a completely new design level.

CHARINYEH reflects the February 28, 1947 massacre in Taiwan and the White Terror era backdrop. It portrays the duality of freedom and bondage, black and white, in a world filled with confusion, fear, and control. The collection utilizes denim and plaid, symbolizing "pioneering" and retro suit materials. It emphasizes power transfer and the rebellious pursuit of freedom and self-breakthrough.

Balance the weight of autumn and winter, by using different shades of brown for a vintage mood. CHARINYEH brought in the joyful and exciting lottery drawing moments during those decades as inspiration for SS21. It used circle as garment silhouette referring to lottery machine, lottery balls and numbers, having circles and numbers as garment details. Rectangular silhouette were to represent the lottery ticket itself, while fabrics that are pleated or creased refers to the tickets that has drawn no prize, and were crumpled up and thrown away like the broken dreams.

The C R Y SS21 theme "The Value in Us" uses different personalities as design inspirations. The SS21 collection echoes to the C R Y brand spirit, from deconstruction to line changes to interpret the multi-faceted of our personality. With different personality traits as the design starting point, through varieties in tailoring and details, emphasizing the uniqueness and difference of each person, who live in gentle and strong both together.

Politicians and celebrities used to held banquets and gala dinners at Dong Hui Fang, an art salon during the Japanese occupation era in 1900s. CHARINYEH brought the background during that period as inspiration into the design of this collection, and once again emerged the diverse appearance and elegance of Taiwanese culture.

Taiwan was ruled by Qing Dynasty before the eighteenth century. Charin Yeh took on the maritime trade that opened in Taiwan back then as inspiration for 2020 Spring collection, using the exported goods such as sucrose, camphor, tea, rice, and imported poppies, etc., into embroideries, prints and fabrics.

The Taiwanese opera, which undergone the transformation of Taiwan’s different eras, it’s been distorted and suppressed the form and how it’s performed. After the efforts of past generations artists, now is able to reappear its traditional colors. Using faded colors and elements of the Taiwanese opera stage costumes such as kimonos and Hanfu to present this Taiwanese traditional art.

Back upon 1982, it is the beginning of Taiwanese New Wave, the director features realist films, againsting the early color film which is a trend at that moment, they present by removing the over-packing shots in the films; it seems like a society with joy and peace, however, we are oppressive with full of depressions in the reality.

With the concept of Zhentou, a traditional festival in temples, it explains the importance of nature, life, cultures, using Lead Generals, Ba Jia Jiang, Song Jiang Zhen as elements in AW 2019, which transits the ideas of respect and equality between human and nature.

Oyster Girl was the earliest color film of Taiwan, and was one of the movies Charin Yeh saw in her childhood back in 1963. Taiwan’s oyster farming has a history for more than 300 years. As time and industrial transfer, once an important economic activity, has now forgotten and declining. Charin Yeh took this movie as her inspiration for 2018 Spring. Not only because it was her childhood memories, but also to bring back the story of an almost forgotten Taiwanese traditional industry. She also collaborates with Yan Jhen-fa, the last practitioner of Taiwan's hand-paint movie poster artist to paint this collections image. Rediscovering many small stories, even the less-than-usual daily can be fun and interesting in her design drafts.

From Qing Dynasty to Japanese colonial rule, from Taiwan economic miracle to business awareness, over 300 years, we have different architecture and element under different historical traces, like the garment is composed by different part of story.

The biggest feature of Houses in Taiwan is we can see the unity of different cultures from the same building, expressing our diversity in AW2017.

CHRINYEH SS2017 collection is derived from the different variety of food culture in Taiwan. It is the daily routine; we combine beauty and taste into fashion and life.

Walking through the traditional market in Taiwan, with the theme “Kitchen”, taking from the common vegetables and environment in our daily life as elements, and it shows that Taiwanese cultures through design. Shuttling the relation between human, and presenting the importance of Kitchen, is the main theme of this collection.

Charin Yeh’s fundamental concept is from Taiwan, the land where we grow and walk on. Develop the unity of nature and Taiwanese culture into fine fashion. Ali Mountain presented in 2016 Fall was one of the Taiwan’s landscape collection. Use elements such as the woods, forest birds, black bear, and sunset of Ali Mountain as inspiration into colors and draping.

Charin Yeh was born in a traditional farmer’s family in Changhua, Taiwan, 1951. Her father’s support was a big motivation for her throughout her designing career. In 1985, Charin Yeh launched her first collection and started this brand ever since. The collection Dosan was presented in 2015 Fall, expressing her feelings and how thankful she is to him, the great man that fulfill his girl’s designer dream.
